Permaculture & Regenerative Agriculture Incubator + Resilience Intensive Externship

An opportunity for permaculturists and small farmers practicing regenerative agricultural methods to implement a farm project without the need to purchase land / infrastructure / equipment

Intended Audience

o   Graduates of a Permaculture Design Certification Course

o   Aspiring regenerative farmers with some training (e.g., anywhere from online training programs, to agricultural degrees) and a plan but with limited land access

o   Owners of Small farm businesses who might have outgrown their existing space and are looking to expan


o   Most new / aspiring farmers need to work full time to afford to purchase farmland or to afford the capital investments required to start a farm, leaving little time left to do much if any actual farming

o   The PRAI+RIE program intends to eliminate these kinds of barrier through a multi-pronged approach, including affordable rents, flexible land access options, work trade opportunities, and microgrants

o   Applicants will need to have at minimum a rough outline of their farm plan – the ideal applicant has completed a PDC or other agricultural or market gardening training program

o   Participants will be granted shared access to 60 acres of land and infrastructure needed for a small scale farm operation

o   On site guidance will be provided by permaculture practitioner with 19 years of experience in several scales and settings

Farm Access Plans

o   Basic Plan – $25/month – access to land and infrastructure to implement your farm plan

o   Agritourism Plan – $100/month – access to land and infrastructure to implement your farm plan + 50% off unlimited farm stays
